You can easily lose but the checkpoints are extremely generous. Since defeat results in just returning to the step before your final encounter with full HP and MP, it feels more rewarding to just let your party get whittled down and defeated.
Boss fights are puzzles where you need to take the correct actions to win, but if you lose you’ll get a nice scene and then you’ll receive valuable hints about what you need to do.
Character progression is tied entirely to getting better equipment; there’s no leveling.
The defeat scenes have heavy emphasis on paizuri, restraints, mind control, and impregnation, and come in a wide variety. Mob scenes change based on how many party members you have, while there are also multiple distinct scenes tied to traps and boss fights. It’s very nice.
There’s no voice acting, if that matters to you.
